Information we collect from you
We supply forms on our website for contacting us asking us to quote for a project. This generally includes asking for information such as your name, address, telephone number, email or other contact details.
If you visit our showroom and/or request a home visit we may also collect your name, address and contact numbers including the work you wish to be completed.
If you become a customer of NBI then we will also require payment information including details of your method of payment such as card payment details, bank transfer details, or cheque information. No passwords or pin numbers will be requested or recorded.
We automatically collect technical information from your website visit including your IP address, browser, operating system, pages you visit. This does not contain personal information.
What we do with the information
For information you supply to us through the website forms we will contact you purely in relation to your enquiry. We will use this to communicate with you, answer any questions and to arrange a home visit or visit to our showroom.
If you visit our showroom your details may be transferred to our computer system in order to identify plans created for your proposed work.
If you arrange a home visit we will produce plans and drawings to show you our proposals. Your details will be logged onto our computers for job identification purposes and to allow us to contact you to discuss your requirements.
Should you wish to proceed with our quotation your contact details will be forwarded to trusted fitters, electricians, builders, or other third parties we require to complete your installation. All details will be retained by us for future servicing of your installation and will pass your details to third party manufacturers for maintenance and warranty purposes. You will be informed of all third parties requiring your information for warranty purposes and these will only be informed of your details with your approval.
If you do not wish to proceed with your quotation your information will be retained by us for future reference should you wish to return to the existing quote or request further prices and information. These quotation details will be kept for 6 years on our computers. If you prefer this not to be the case all details will be erased at your request.
For technical data which we collect automatically, we use this for internal operations including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes. Again this information is anonymous and does not contain personal information.
How we receive and store this information
We receive enquiries through our website, over the telephone or direct from our customers through a visit to our showroom.
If you engage with us to create a proposal or to perform work for you then your details may be transferred to our computer system in order to identify plans created for your work.
If you become a customer your personal details will be retained on computer for up to 10 years to enable us to service your installation and identify products purchased by you in the event of you needing spare parts or replacement fittings.
When you make payments your personal contact details will be recorded by us along with details of your method of payment such as card payment details, bank transfer details, or cheque information. (Where is this stored?) No passwords or pin numbers will be requested or recorded. These details will be passed to our accountants for the express purpose of accountancy and tax compliance. Your personal details will be retained on our computers and paper work in a secured office for a minimum of 6 Years to comply with Inland Revenue tax requirements.
If you do not become a customer of NBI your details will be kept for 1 year should you wish to return to the project. After this time period your personal details will be deleted from our digital and manual records.
Your personal details will not be sold or transferred to any none related companies other than if requested by government tax officials or law enforcement officers in line with their duties.
Technical information is collected, stored and reported on using Google Analytics.
Customer requests
If you are an NBI customer you may request to see what information we hold relating to you, free of charge. We can also amend or delete this data on your request.
Third parties
We will never sell or exchange mailing lists of customer information.
However some of our suppliers will have temporary access to your information and we use them to help our service. We only use suppliers who follow GDPR guidelines themselves and are as follows:
Way Fresh (UK) – www.wayfresh.co.uk - Supply and manage our website and provide our booking form which sends bookings to us by email.
Google Analytics (USA) - analytics.google.com - Collects anonymous technical data from website visitors and shows us reports of page views, unique visitors, referrals to help improve our service.
As various third parties will be necessary to complete your proposed work we will provided details of these third parties to you at your request.
